CGVSC#1 Lilawater

The first edition of Galactic Choir Contest (GCC) was developed from a contest in Lilawater called the United Choir Contest, which ran for three editions on RTLI. The format was dropped, following cuts at the broadcaster but the show also gained a larger viewership. Lilawater’s commercial broadcaster AGOO TV which also broadcasts The Galactivision Contest wanted to combine the two following the poor organisation of the Junior Edition of the contest a year ago. They organised a committee between Yakbhu, Lilawater, Astraea, Zanthia and Yoshido and consulted on different formats for the show. Then on the 24th of March the show was officially confirmed and planets started to confirm their intentions to compete.

It was won by KATA with their song "Risin Og Moyggin" representing U.D.P. Dios.

Location

The number of participants in this edition being 15, only a Grand Final was organized.

The First Edition was hosted in the Purcell Royal Palace Concert Hall in Wlascicle due to the National Arena being used to prepare for the hosting of Galactivision 32.
