GSC#19 Akujo
The nineteenth edition of Galactivision has been held in Akujo after their win in the previous edition with AronChupa & Little Sis Nora and their song "Rave In The Grave".
The slogan chosen by the executive producer was "War Of Wanton" referring to the fact the inhabitants of the planet are
Amazons.
It was won by Moldir Auelbekova with her song "Tugan El" representing Valkyr.
Location
For this edition, Akujo organizers decided to use the same places than for edition 3 as only the Grand Final took place that edition.
The Iketeru Concert Hall has been chosen to hold the first semi-final. Set up in Kannouteki, one of the islands of the planet.
The Mote Mote Arena has been chosen to hold the second semi-final.
Set up in Munmun, another island of the planet.
The Omizu Dance Hall has been chosen to hold the final.
Set up in Tsumo, the official capital of the planet, the hall is usually used to perform the ritual dances of the planet, but for the occasion, it will hold the song contest.
Participants
39 planets took part in this edition:
-Two were banned for the same reason Lisacko and Jordo had been after edition 1: Georgiana and Melano
-Two were returning after one edition break: Phantom Island and Yoshido.
-Two withdrew without giving the reason: Aegeanland and Delarova.
-Polarea had announced their participation but didn't send a song in time.
-Right before the beginning of the event, Zarc was linked to the cheating of Georgiana and Melano and was banned as well.
