GSC#22 Yoshido

The 22nd edition of Galactivision has been held in Yoshido after their win in the previous edition with Zhavia and her song "Candelight".

The slogan chosen by the executive producer was "Keep Your Candlelight Burning" meaning  to stay positive even in the darkest of times.

It was won by Clean Bandit & Demi Lovato with a their song "Solo" representing Seshtrezu.

Location

For this edition, Yoshido organizers chose 3 places to hold the contest:

The Komorebo Stadium has been chosen to hold the first semi-final. Set up next to the Komorebo Beach on the Yellow Island, it was built specifically for the event and offers some great views of the coastline.

The Shibuku Entertainment Complex has been chosen to hold the second semi-final. Set up in on top of Mt. Yatsukado on the White Island. As well as a large stage, it contains many shops, restaurants and even a cinema for the participants to go to.

The Yoshegg Arena has been chosen to hold the final.

Set up in Yoshegg, the capital of the planet on the Green Island, it hosts all major events in the planet including Yoshifest.

44 planets took part in this edition, which made again a new record for the contest.

2 planets debuted this edition: Ereban and Rölver.

2 planets returned: Abriotsu and Mithrilium

2 planets withdrew: Dreamland and United Boreal

1 planet was suspended for 5 editions for repeated non-voting in previous editions bring to the first black card: Polarea
