GSC#26 Azura

The 26th edition of Galactivision has been held in Azura after their win in the previous edition with K/DA ft. Madison Beer, Jaira Burns & (G)I-Dle and their song "POP/STARS".

The slogan chosen by the executive producer was "Let Nobody Bring You Down" as the host want to bring back hope in people watching the event.

It was won by Áine Cahill with her song "Beauty Is A Lie" representing Yoshido.

Location

For this edition, Azura organizers decided to use only one place for all the events.

And its the Indigo Coliseum in the capital Cyanine which has been chosen, named from the color of the sea surrounding the main island for the main part.

Participants

43 planets took part in this edition which was the new record of the contest.

Ereban and Muchiami came back to the contest after their two editions suspension.

Abriotsu came back after missing 3 editions.

Machen and Solya (ex-Valtencia) debuted in this edition.

Akujo retired cause of big and expensive projects on their planet not allowing budget for the contest for an undetermined time.

Sheica retired without giving reason.

Change Of Rule

It was decided that from this edition, with the help of the new way of diffusion, timeslot would be of 25 instead of 20 seconds.

After the voting procedure of the Grand Final, seeing that once again a lot of planets hadn't voted, the organization decided to cancel the random votes procedure, explaining the low points of the winner.
